YDesk

YDesk wanted to be a Qt-based desktop environment. It grew up to being at least remotely usable and the last version I released is at least close to the idea of a desktop. I don't really work at it anymore but that's just because I ended up getting a bit tired of Qt's dumbness when it comes to a thing as simple as changing a background. I may re-start working at it some time, but it will probably be a complete re-write.

I like fortune, the old unix program that enlightens you every time you run it. Unfortunately, despite taking contact with the console many times while I'm working, I don't get the chance of enlightening myself when I log in since I use GDM. I just fixed up a quick hack (quick as in five minutes) that uses Qt to enlighten yourself in a dialog box. You can download it here.

A very quick one I wrote to get the hangs of Qt 4.0. A bit annoying (doesn't save alarm settings) but I rarely use alarms anyway.
